SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION 2024
The Sports Day celebration at K.R. Mangalam World School, Greater Noida, was held on the 13th and 14th of November 2024, brimming with enthusiasm, energy, and a spirit of healthy competition.
Day 1: Sports Activities for Grades 6 to 11
The first day witnessed a series of thrilling events and activities for students from Grades 6 to 11. The day began with a vibrant Zumba performance, showcasing the students’ energy and rhythm, followed by an impressive march past the schoolhouses. Each house demonstrated discipline and unity, setting the tone for the day.
Track events and fun-filled activities saw the participation of approximately 108 students, who competed with vigor and determination. The competitions offered students opportunities to excel in various categories, fostering a spirit of teamwork and achievement. The Best House Trophy was proudly claimed by Sapphire House for their outstanding performances across all events.
The guest of honor, Dr. Shitla Prasad, graced the occasion and applauded the school’s efforts in promoting sportsmanship and discipline. Drawing from his vast experience as a mentor at the NDA Academy, he inspired students with his words of wisdom, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and teamwork in shaping future leaders.
Day 2: Children’s Day and Sports Day Festivities
The second day merged the joy of Children’s Day with the excitement of Sports Day, creating an unforgettable experience for the students. Around 190 students participated in various activities and competitions, complementing the celebrations with their enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
The event was honored by the presence of Lt Col Kautuk Srivastav, an esteemed officer from the armed forces and a passionate sports enthusiast. He commended the school for fostering a culture of physical fitness and holistic development, sharing anecdotes from his life to inspire students.
The two-day event was a grand success, filled with energy, teamwork, and the joy of participation. It not only showcased the students’ talent and hard work but also emphasized the importance of sports in building character and fostering camaraderie.
